About Georgia Rehabilitation Association |
A long-standing commitment to rehabilitation…
Not long after Congress passed the National Rehabilitation Act of 1920, the National Rehabilitation Association (NRA) began its commitment to persons with disabilities. As the oldest and strongest advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities, our mission is to provide advocacy, awareness and career advancement for professionals in the fields of rehabilitation.
Our members include rehabilitation counselors, physical, speech and occupational therapists, job trainers, consultants, independent living instructors and other professionals involved in the advocacy of programs and services for people with disabilities.
GRA Strategic Agenda
Strategic Goals for 2008
Joe Siman, Jr. – President-Elect 2009
It is my goal, without a doubt, to maintain the highest degree of integrity, compassion and knowledge that has been displayed by all those ladies and men who have preceded me. I also would like to highlight some areas that I feel are extremely important to GRA and myself in the coming year.
Note: Strategies will be developed for each goal and incorporated into the strategic agenda, with clear responsibilities assigned. The GRA Executive Committee will review the draft strategic agenda, and submit the final agenda to the Board. The adopted strategic agenda will then be made available to the membership at large.
